Kundalini Yoga is the yoga of awareness. It puts your spirit back in the driver's seat so your mind can be a tool and your body can be a vehicle. Too often we let our thoughts take us on a ride, having control over everything. Kundalini Yoga helps us train our mind to work in our favor rather than against us. The practices work fast to remove subconscious block, old fears, and heal trauma and pain that is getting in the way of us becoming our best selves.
Kundalini Yoga works the endocrine and nervous systems to put our bodies in a prime state to rewire our thinking and lay down new, elevated mantras. Instead of chanting the mantras we've already been chanting our whole lives ("I'm not thin enough", "I'm not rich enough", "I'm not smart enough", "I'm terrible", "Nobody loves me") we begin to repeat things that remind us of our purest, highest self that is already here and always was, indestructible and unfazed by fear and ego.

Calming Triple Threat Breath Meditation to Prevent (send to anyone you know who is trying to conceive) We can all use this powerful breath meditation when we feel overwhelmed, stressed, and anxious. When we are supremely stressed, the reproductive system is the first to shut down because it doesn't need to work for us to live. If our goal is to conceive, we have to keep the body in its "rest and repair" state as much as possible. Our body can't conceive if it's in "fight or flight" all the time. Sit: comfortably in Sukhasana (easy pose) or at edge of a chair, sitting tall. You could be standing do if you need this in a pinch. Hand: Place the right thumb on the right nostril closing off the airway. The right pointer finger rests on the forehead at the third eye point, between the eyebrows and up an inch. Drishti: Eyes closed and gaze at the third eye Breath: -Count your deepest Inhale through the left nostril -exhale through the left nostril for double the length -repeat For example: If you inhale for 4 counts, exhale for 8. Circus in Progress May 2015
My eight-year old daughter and I do a duet to Grimes' "Genesis" at The Actors Gymnasium's bi-annual Circus In Progress performance. The show brings circus, dance, and new American theatre together with performers from all over the country.
